STARTS SOMEWHERE

Founded by two friends, David Côté and Mathieu Gallant, RISE was born under the name of Crudessence Kombucha. Three OG flavours, Hibiscus & Rose Hips, Fresh Ginger and Lemongrass, hit grocery stores’ shelves.

2009
LOCAL
DARLINGS

The demand for the delicious flavours of RISE Kombucha allowed the company to grow and move from a small kitchen to a loft in the iconic Mile End of Montreal.

ARE RISING…

Crudessence Kombucha (soon to be RISE) becomes the first kombucha brewer in North America to release their instantly popular 1L bottles.

RISE relocates from Mile End to St-Leonard, which allows them to further their production with a bigger facility.

LIFTING OTHERS

A project backed by a considerable investment by Lyra Growth Partners which allows the production facility to triple in size. RISE keeps it local by buying bottles from a Montreal manufacturing company.

RISE launches two exciting new flavours:

Lychee & Jasmine
Orange & Turmeric

And limited-edition flavours, Rosemary & Elderflower and Apple & Cinnamon.

RISE launches its new 1g line to meet the needs of the marketplace.

NEW PACKAGING, SAME GREAT TASTE

Filled with living cultures, antioxidants and organic acids. Not your basic kombucha.

2 NEW CLASSIC FLAVOURS

Our two newest Classic flavours have been begging to be released since 2017 when our R&D team began work on Lychee & Jasmine and Orange & Turmeric.

More recently, we reworked these flavours to tweak them, make the colours vibrant and unique. Did you know that peaches and mangoes are blue? We kid! Peach & Mango is naturally blue from spirulina.

These flavours are an ode to vacation, escape and celebrating.

Our team has been working behind the scenes on a new brand, a first for RISE outside of Kombucha, solidifying our commitment to offering a variety of better-for-you beverages while never compromising on taste!
